Previously, the final step was taken to deploy and activate EOS Mainnet's PowerUp Model on February 24. 

In order to maintain the stability of the PowerUp Model against EOS price fluctuations, proposal usagepct to change the CPU/NET target usage setting was added by eosnationftw. The proposal calls for the follow changes:

Proposal usagepct was executed on the very same day the final MSIG for the PowerUP Model received an approval sign.

Please be reminded that the EOS Public Blockchain operates under a model that involves locking up EOS tokens to reserve resources, with three resources that matter:

• CPU bandwidth (CPU) - the amount of time it takes to process a transaction
• Network bandwidth (NET) - the size of a transaction measured in bytes
• RAM - the method for storing data on-chain measured in bytes

The PowerUp Model now allows users to pay a small fee to power up the user's account for 24 hours with CPU and NET bandwidth that one can use to fulfill his/her transactions needs.
